Families and groups of friends are welcome, with accommodation options for up to six people. There are plenty of activities on offer for children and adults, including the swimming pool and adjacent paddling pool, as well as direct access to the beach of Surchauffant.
Water-based activities at the marinas of Lake Vouglans
On Lake Vouglans, three marinas welcome visitors looking for original water-based activities or to moor their boats. (link location page) Port Meix, located right next to Surchauffant Campsite, is where the port authority is located. Equipped with a fuel pump available around the clock, it is also the marina from which you can board the lake’s mini cruise-ship ‘Louisiane’ or go speedboat racing. At Port Mercantine, located in the sailing zone, visitors can rent electric boats, paddleboats (pedalos), canoes and kayaks. Port Saisse, the smallest of the lake’s marinas, is located in the fishing zone.
Land-based activities around the campsite
Located on the shores of Lake Vouglans, Surchauffant Campsite is also at the heart of the Jura massif. It makes an excellent base camp from which to set off and discover the surrounding nature and the typical towns and villages nearby, such as Orgelet, Clairvaux-les-Lacs, Saint-Claude and Moirans-en-Montagne. In addition to the many activities on offer at our three-star campsite, there is a small touristic area just a few metres away, where you will find artisanal shops and places to eat. The campsite is also a starting point for hiking trails that will lead you on an exploration of the local area.
